On May, 11th, 2009 the Rating Agency Expert Rating published its traditional annual stability rating of banks. The stability rating of banks following 2008 results covered banks with assets not lower than 1 bln UAH. 77 banks took part in the rating (vs. 107 last year) from which 23 banks have received the highest rating, i.e. have been qualified as A group banks. The number of banks in the stability rating has been reduced due to revision of some provisions of stability estimation method; stability rating following the results of 2008 has more conservative character.
