On September, 14th the journal ‘Expert Ukraine’ published a traditional (fifth in row) annual pi-rating of stability of insurance companies. 47 insurance companies have been covered by journal rating with overall ca 9 bn. UAH gross premiums collected in 2008. For the first half of the year 2009 these companies have collected 3,5 bn. UAH. On May, 11th, 2009 the Rating Agency Expert Rating published its traditional annual stability rating of banks. The stability rating of banks following 2008 results covered banks with assets not lower than 1 bln UAH. 77 banks took part in the rating (vs. 107 last year) from which 23 banks have received the highest rating, i.e. have been qualified as A group banks. The number of banks in the stability rating has been reduced due to revision of some provisions of stability estimation method; stability rating following the results of 2008 has more conservative character. On April, 6th, 2009 Rating Agency Expert Rating has temporarily withdrawn the individual rating of JSC Insurance company Dneprinmed (Dnepropetrovsk) at the request of the company.
